The car manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) with its headquarter in Tokyo, developes and produces vehicles for markets in more than 160 countries. The German importer is the MMD Automobile GmbH in Ruesselsheim. The current Mitsubishi model range is sold through 391 dealers and 493 sales and service locations in Germany. In the 37-year history of Mitsubishi Motors in Germany a total of about 1.7 million vehicles were sold. Currently more than 510,000 Mitsubishi models are on German roads.
