Overview

BrightWay Vision develops new, groundbreaking vision technology for vehicles, which provides the driver with a safer and easier driving experience. This technology, combined with active safety systems, reduces the risk of car accidents and saves lives. We are currently developing an advanced day and night-time system for forward-facing driver assistance functions, based on an active gated-imaging technology named BrightEye^TM.

BrightEye^TM offers all the benefits of a rich, natural and intuitive image, even during harsh weather, with real-time sophisticated computer-vision features, such as Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Pedestrian Detection, and other automatic capabilities.

BrightEye^TM can function as a stand-alone day and night-time driving solution, or as an integrated solution with existing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies.

Technology

BrightWay Vision’s active-gated imaging technology incorporates a range (time) gating technology. Range-gating does not require ambient light sources and does not require a radiation signature emission (i.e. temperature difference) used by thermal imaging. Active-gating technology combines two key components: a specially designed gated- camera that opens and closes at high speeds and a pulsed-light (illuminator) source (i.e. laser, LED) beam. Once the gated-camera and the illuminator beam pulses are synchronized, an active-gated image is provided.

ABOUT Crocodile

Crocodile is an innovative new app that gets
 kids out of cars and walking to school in a healthy, fun and low cost way. Our app makes it easy for parents and schools to organise walking buses, and incentivises children to participate.

Crocodile was born out of the Bristol 2015 European Green Capital Digital Challenge. Judges from Google, the BBC & KPMG awarded Crocodile the £50,000 first prize. The money will fund an initial pilot, in collaboration with a number of UK primary schools.

As integrated core element, the compact intelligent Charge Spot Controller provides future Smart-City-features and can also be separately purchased. Ebee cooperates with major partners such as Bender Group and BMW.

We build the TWIKE

The FINE Mobile GmbH is the manufacturer of one of the most innovative electric vehicles worldwide. The unique electric vehicle TWIKE is focused on intelligent and individual mobility. The third generation of this two-seated three-wheeler has been produced since 1995 and is sold on the European market more than 1000 times.

The FINE Mobile GmbH was originally founded in 1998 as a German general importer for the TWIKE 3, which was to this point still in production in Switzerland. Finally, FINE Mobile took over production for the German market. Since 2002, the company produces the TWIKE as exclusive manufacturer in in Rosenthal and sells it meanwhile worldwide.

What started with the founding partners Bernd Werner and Martin Moescheid, turned now into an established provider of light electric vehicles with over 20 years of experience. Through continuous development and integration of new technologies, such as the lithium-ion technology, the FINE Mobile GmbH works continually on improving the TWIKE. The intension is to offer a vehicle adapted to the modern requirements of mobility providing excellent comfort and a unique and enjoyable driving.

TWIKE 5

The forerunner of a next series vehicle, the TW4XP,  was designed as a project vehicle to participate in the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE, a competition for vehicles capable of achieving over 100 MPGe. From the very beginning the design was aimed at later assembly-line production, as well as complying with the strict competition guidelines and on-road safety tests. The TW4XP completed all technical, safety and MPGe challenges required to win the X PRIZE in the Alternative Side-by-Side class, however as this division was the only one to have more than one successful competitor which required a final speed-based race to determine the winner. Out of 136 original competitors, Project TW4XP finished third, achieving the lowest energy consumption in the final race.

Despite missing out on the 2.5 million USD prize money, the participation in the competition resulted in valuable experience for the development of the vehicle. The chassis concept can already be considered a master piece: it exhibits impressive stability and intuitive handling even when driven at the limit. The drive train convinced instantly and proved its reliability and high efficiency during the demanding tests as well. FINE Mobile now works on the detailing of the components, without pressure but with high motivation. The goal is to combine sporty driving pleasure and sustainable mobility in a timeless driving machine.
